Today, cancer care has evolved by leaps and bounds but we have not gotten rid of the negative cancer terminology like palliative care, terminal disease, or Stage IV. Why can't we treat cancer like any other chronic disease? A diabetes patient is never told he is a victim of diabetes, or he is being given palliative care.Dr. B. S. Ajaikumar
India and Myanmar share a great bond rooted in Buddhist thought and values. The brutality of the military regime is appaling and unaccpetable. The pro-democracy rebels have the backing of ethnic groups within Myanmar, and they are fighting tooth and nail to protect the larger interests of their nation, which is so heartening to see.
As a conscientious neighbour, India should proactively support this democrary movement; beats me why we have not shown any concrete inclination to that effect as yet. High time deep concern traslates into deep action!
