Today, cancer care has evolved by leaps and bounds but we have not gotten rid of the negative cancer terminology like palliative care, terminal disease, or Stage IV. Why can't we treat cancer like any other chronic disease? A diabetes patient is never told he is a victim of diabetes, or he is being given palliative care.Dr. B. S. Ajaikumar
June 4, 2024 marked the ultimate triumph of democracy in India, which unlike what the West claims, is fully functional, thriving, and truly representative of a government of the people by the people for the people.
The common people of India have sent out a strong ultimatum in the guise of a verdict: we need a democratic leader to serve us, not a demagogue to rule us. Above all, genuine respect for all religions, languages, castes and creeds, as also freedom of speech and expression are strictly non-negotiables; tinker with them at your own peril, and perish within no time!
Kudos to all political parities including the BJP for graciously accepting the people's verdict without casting aspersions of any sort on the ballot. A developed nation like the US can take a crash course from India on how to run and respect a democracy.
